All speculation when it comes to claims of who one was in a previous life, if we are to take these claims seriously perhaps we should take the Cleopatra ones seriously too. Again, we have to be mindful of egotism.

Candidly, the only thing I disagree with here are his views of Freemasonry; unless there's something I'm missing, I fail to see how he would be qualified to say that Guenon- who was himself a Mason and wrote extensively about it- had 'erred' on that issue . Overall, though, I love hearing anything from the Traditionalist perspective and find it enlightening. I especially liked his concept of a "... clear distinction between corruption and evil and apostasy and a conscious turn against God..."I am also fascinated by his paradigm of the Antichrist.

NTA is one of my favourite podcasts and if you will allow me I would like to make a suggestion. I find the stark black background contrasting with Jeff's face a bit harsh on the eyes. I was just watching another podcast that is a recent start up and one can see right away the attention they put into getting the lighting right, to make it easy on the eyes. I’ve always thought the concept of God as One in Judaism is related very closely to the idea of non-duality In Vedanta- the one consciousness in which all seeming multiplicity appears.

When i was living in egypt i witnessed an orb of luminescent light. After that experience i started having dreans about upheavel and civil unrest in the middle east. Every night, same dream. A year later the 'arab spring' happened.

Proving 0D is Non-Natural: Theorem: 0D entities are non-natural in the context of classical physics. Proof: a) Define "natural" as observable and measurable in classical physics. b) Classical physics operates in 3D space + 1D time (4D spacetime). c) 0D entities have no extension in space or time. d) Therefore, 0D entities are not observable or measurable in classical physics. e) Thus, 0D entities are non-natural in the classical physics framework.

It's all very well to say "god is the source of consciousness" but the real question, avoided by most, is "how do you define god"?

Regarding the 5m mark, the linked interview (Mathematics and the Physical Universe with Edward R. Close), doesn't mention Kriya Yoga at all. Is there another video where Ed talks about this? BTW, regarding reincarnation , some cases I've seen, suggests some elements of personality (likes, dislikes, etc) do carry over.. i.e. it's not just spiritual evolution devoid of earthly matters.

Hello Dr Mishlove, Since the age of 4, I have been able to remember ( quite unbidden), a few of my own past lives but rarely, if ever, have I shared or even mentioned my memories because of the risk to my reputation, my friendships and my credibility. Today I shall make a concession and admit to my ability online . (I'm old and perhaps I shouldn't care so much). I see images with quite some detail and have been able to verify the veracity of the memories. I've never been anyone of any great significance but it is fascinating. I also see past lives of strangers and friends... which can be particularly disconcerting or discombobulating when I am engaging in everyday conversations and my inner eye behaves like a cinema screen revealing a relevant past life of the person with whom i am conversing. Relevant in the sense that it has influence over the person's present life. Lives leak into each other. Vernon and Ed are correct. We are all aspects of the same Consciousness with a capital C .. but as humans with a physical body we do become discrete and separate ( because of the nature of matter)...yet our energy and consciousness remains connected to the Sole Consciousness It would be excellent if there were speakers who could address the concept of quantum entanglement.

Thanks for a very informative and interesting discussion on reincarnation. It is definitely the best treatment of this topic that I have come across so far, since it raises questions about the way in which reincarnation is commonly conceived. Given the nature of time and lack of separation characteristic of consciousness, reincarnation is not a matter of our souls being transferred from one body to another. We are not like genies who get poured into a new bottle after death. The memories of ‘past’ lives that so many people claim to have, are interpreted in this way, since we see ourselves as separate individuals existing in time. These memories, which appear to us to be evidence of past lives, are more likely the influence of the souls of the deceased on living persons who happen to be more receptive, due to resonance with that soul, as well as that person being more permeable to spiritual experiences. It appears to me to be highly significant that memories of past lives occur mainly in children or under hypnotic regression. The common factor is a greater receptivity to the realm of spirit, since the sense of a separate self, in the case of the child, has not been fully developed, and under hypnotic regression, it has been weakened. Given that people who have had NDEs often describe a life review in which they are able to experience their own life, as well as perceptions of others who were impacted by their actions, this would suggest that the sense of being a separate individual dissolves near death. Reincarnation appears to be a case of experiencing the life of departed souls as one’s own when our personal boundaries have to a large extent been dissolved. These boundaries are very much illusory, since there really is no such thing as a separate individual. It really is a case of the interdependence and co arising of everything in the universe. As interconnected beings, we always experience resonance between others, both in the material world and in the spiritual realm. Given this connection, reincarnation as the recycling of souls into new bodies is really quite superfluous, since it is never the individual consciousness, but the entire web of consciousness that evolves. We either grow together or not at all, since there is no ME without WE.

I can actually show people empirically these things and prove it. Our future technologies will be woven with such things, if humans can get past the hubris of the explosion of science and technology.
